The YWCA of Brunswick has been providing comprehensive childcare services for working parents in Glynn County since 1981. With its focus on building strong families and a stronger community, the YWCA of Brunswick continues to provide superior childcare programs to the community today.
Full Day Childcare
The YWCA operates the Julia Stamm Thomas Child Development Center specifically designed to care for children between the ages of six weeks to five years. The center, licensed by Bright from the Start, Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning is staffed by highly trained childcare providers. Cost is only $99 per week. Financial Assistance is available for qualified low to moderately-low income families through DFCS, United Way, and funds raised from the YWCA Tribute to Women Leaders event.

Summer & Holiday Camps
Fun-filled, well planned, exciting adventures await children five through twelve years. Operating out of the YWCA Family Center, children are treated to swimming, basketball, music, dance, crafts, field trips, drama, cooking projects, and social time with friends. Camps offered during school holiday breaks are also an immense help to community families.
Family Center Drop-In Nursery
The drop-in nursery is available for ages three months to six years old. The Drop-in room is free to Facility Members. Guests may use the Drop-In for a charge of $10. Advance payment is required. Each child may spend a maximum of two hours in the Drop-In per visit. A parent or guardian must remain on the premises while children are cared for in the nursery. * A parent/guardian will be called to the Drop-In should a child present any type of problematic situation. The Drop-in Nursery is open Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 10:30 p.m. and Monday - Thursday 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Youth Room
The youth room is available for ages six to fourteen and is filled with board games, a play station, air hockey and more. The Youth Room is free to Facility Members. Guests may buy a $7 day pass. The Youth Room is open Monday-Thursday from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
After School Programs
After School programs are available on-site at at Burroughs-Mollette Elementary School/FACES. An After School Program lso available at the YWCA Family Wellness Center on Scranton Connector for all elementary school-age children. Transportation will be provided by bus from Golden Isles Elementary School to the YWCA. Transportation by private vehicle must be provided for children departing from all other elementary school sites. Click here for an enrollment packet.
